My book, Wings of the Sathakos, received its sixth review on Amazon the other day.
This is special because it’s the first review left by someone that I don’t know.
The first five reviews, all friends and family. But this sixth one is totally anonymous.
Amazon user “jkmcin”, thanks!
The review wasn’t quite as sterling as my others, but that actually has me even more excited.
Jkmcin gave the book a 3 out of 5. They also wrote a really positive statement about the book and chided me for inefficient editing, (which I’m aware of and resolving).
The thing is, Wings of the Sathakos is my first book. For it to get even a 3 out of 5, well, that’s a lot better than a 1 or a 2.
A 3 out of 5 is encouraging. It says, hey. Good effort. Well done, for your first time. This was worthwhile. Keep them coming. Keep improving, and maybe you could be great.
How many times do you create something that deserves a 3 out of 5 on your very first try?
